2023 Fall Season Wrap Up

Keeping the regular season trend of close and competitive football, championship weekend wouldn't disappoint. The youngest age division saw the top two seeded teams going head to head in the championship. The #2 Golden Eagles were able to overthrow the #1 Punishers to win the division title.
In copycat fashion, the next division up also had the top two seeds advance to the title game, with the same end result. One of Gridiron's most experienced and tough teams, the #1 Mead Mustangs would fall to the #2 SeaFangs in a very close game. Moving right along and staying on point with close games.
The next division up was a testimony to the phrase "Any given Sunday". A team that had not won a single game all year, the Mambas, won both their games on this day. They defeated the Dragons in the title game by just one score.
If that wasn't a close enough game for you, the next division title was decided by less than one score. In fact, every single scoring play that is in the rule book, would or could have changed the result. The #2 Chupacabras gave the undefeated and undisputed leader of the division, Legacy, everything they could handle. In the end they came up short by just a couple points and on the other side of that coin, we crowned one of only two undefeated teams on the season.
Who was other undefeated team, you ask? One of our most competitive and tough divisions over the last several seasons played host to them. That being said, the #1 Outlaws didn't have an easy road to success. They did it anyway, and beat the Bills in the final game to win the title.
Last but definitely not least, our top division, small in numbers this fall season, but still very much elite. The two teams in the title game would both return almost the same exact rosters from the spring season's title game they played against each other six months ago. To say they knew each other well would be an understatement. The adjustments, depth chart moves, schemes and concepts created a chess match of a football game. At the end of the day, the Colorado Crush would win the rematch against the LongMonsters and hold on to the crown for 2023.
